Richard Robertson
Director
I was born in Kansas City, MO, and raised in a small town called Cleveland, MO. I have always been intrigued by the movies and TV in general over the years, just recently getting in on the production side. We got our beginning by taking your average camcorder and hitting the streets doing 1 to 1 evangelism. We would video tape these for later use or to send to The Way of the Master, a Christian ministry focused on sharing the gospel of Christ 1 to 1. Over the last few years I have been part of many different video experiences, everything from television work to short films, doing a live broadcast for a local church and a feature length film. During my time in the industry I have done all kinds of work from lighting to camera work, editing to even some acting, writing and directing. In early 2008 I began my own video production company, Robertson 6 Productions. Named after my family which includes my wife Andrea and 4 children, we have set out to make God honoring material that is family friendly and uplifting to the Lord.
Nick Bylsma
Best Boy, Audio Technician, Production Assistant
I was born in Topeka, KS and have lived here all my life. I have been interested in movies from a young age, but only recently begun my foray into them. My first experience was as Best Boy on an independent film that was shot in Kansas City. It wasn't much, but it was a lot of fun. I was approached by my younger brother (Chris Bylsma) to be crew on the set of The Freedom of Silence, and I agreed. I was under the impression that I would just be doing the audio work, but the first day on set I found out that I was going to be doing much more than just that. Working on set taught me a lot of valuable information and knowledge, and helped to fuel my passion for movies.
