Tyler Messner

Zach Thompson

Tyler was born and raised in a little town, where he went to a little church, and a little school, and played a little sports, and had a little fun.  Accepting Christ at a young age he quickly learned God's laws and did his best to obey.  Tyler was content in his little town, but knew there were adventures to be had in the big city.  So one day Tyler picked up and left his little church, little town, and his little family behind.  He learned that the farther away he got from the little things in his life the farther away he got from God, until, he wasn't with God at all.  So he picked up and came back to his little way of life, and everyday he tries to get back a little bit that he lost on his journey to becoming the little man God wants him to be.

Chris Bylsma

Aaron Willis

Chris Bylsma was born in Topeka, KS on February 25th, 1988.  Fascinated with film from a young age, he was excited to have the chance to get involved with local film in the Kansas City area & has found his calling in the field.

Though Chris loves to act, creatively bring characters to life while drawing inspirations from the likes of Ed Norton, Jimmy Stewart, Johnny Depp, & Denzel Washington; he's also glad to help on the crew or whatever place God has for him in a production.

Freedom of Silence has particularly struck a chord with him and he's extremely grateful for the opportunity to contribute his talents wherever necessary to further the film & its message!

Lauren Miller

Trisha Bassier

Lauren was born in the tiny state of Rhode Island, Lauren has moved from there to Arkansas to Tennessee and now most recently to Missouri.  She received her BA in Theater and Communications from Southwest Baptist University.  In college she spent a semester at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center. While there, she was involved in numerous aspects of film production - from acting and voice-over to sound editing and screenwriting.

She has two cats and a dog, enjoys playing piano, and has accompanied for her church as well as several musicals.  Her desire is to use her talents to be involved in the production of films that enlighten and challenge an audience while still bringing glory to God.

Tasha Clark

Kelly Thompson

Tasha Lenee Clark was born in Garden City, KS on July 21, 1984. From as early as she can remember, the only thing she ever wanted to do in life was act. She started out performing in 4-H and local Community Theater and then performed in school plays in both high school and college. Upon moving to Kansas City, she began to branch out in the arts by doing some promotional modeling and even wrote her first book, Grandma’s Letter. It wasn’t until she got cast in a music video by KC’s own Trampled Under Foot that she fell in love with acting all over again. “I was in a bit of a rut in life and had fallen away from God for a while and the Lord did exactly what He needed to do: He broke me.” Right as she started living for the Lord again, the opportunity for The Freedom of Silence came about. “This has been the greatest experience of my life to date. To be making a film about standing up for our beliefs and to get to do so with such an amazing cast and crew…I’m truly blessed.”

Jeffrey Staab

Captain Johansen

Jeff grew up in Western Kansas, in the city of Hays. I am the proud father of three wonderful children. I moved to the Kansas City Area in 2002. I've been passionate about and have LOVED acting since the age of 7. My favorite show at that time was the Shazam ISIS hour. It aired every Saturday morning and I never missed an episode. Little did I know at that time, that 28 years later, I would be mentoring and actually be coached by Mike, the male lead on the ISIS show, played by Brian Cuter, who now lives in Kansas City. He coaches actors at his studio in the film technique of acting, which was developed by Brian’s coach, Charles Conrad, acting coach to the stars

I have acted in several feature films, short films, Documentaries, and TV shows, such as, National Geographic's "Sea Monsters," KCPT'S "Bad Blood," Lenexa One Mile, opposite William Baldwin, "My Stepdad's a Freakin Vampire," and the History Channel, just to name a few.
